Signal - LinkedIn Intelligence is a Chrome extension that helps you focus on valuable LinkedIn content. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
🔒 Signal stores ALL data locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to external servers.
Data Storage
All user data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage APIs (chrome.storage.sync and IndexedDB). This includes:
- Feed Focus preferences - Your filter settings and focus mode configuration
- Saved posts - LinkedIn posts you choose to save, along with your notes and tags
- Profile notes - Private annotations you add to LinkedIn profiles
- Follow-up reminders - Scheduled reminders you set for posts or profiles
- Screen time statistics - Your LinkedIn usage tracking data
Data We Do NOT Collect
Signal does NOT collect, store, or transmit:
- ❌ Personally identifiable information
- ❌ Browsing history or web activity
- ❌ Passwords or authentication data
- ❌ Financial information
- ❌ Location data
- ❌ Analytics or tracking data
✓ No external data transmission
Permissions Usage
Signal requests only the permissions necessary for its core functionality:
- storage - To save your preferences and content locally
- activeTab - To inject the Signal UI into LinkedIn pages
- notifications - To send follow-up reminder notifications
- alarms - To schedule reminders and update screen time
- sidePanel - To provide the Signal command center interface
- linkedin.com access - To operate exclusively on LinkedIn pages
Third-Party Services
Signal Pro subscriptions are processed through Stripe, a secure payment processor. When you upgrade to Pro:
- Your email is used only for license verification
- Payment is handled entirely by Stripe
- We do not store credit card information
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your data to third parties. Your saved content, notes, and preferences remain entirely on your device.
